National strategy on palliative care expected soon:

SINGAPORE - The Health Ministry (MOH) will be working with the Assisi Hospice - one of Singapore's oldest hospices - to boost its capacity and develop it into a centre for palliative care training, as it prepares to release a National Strategy for Palliative Care, Health Minister Gan Kim Yong said last night. This as Singapore's changing lifestyle and healthcare needs bring about new challenges for end-of-life care. "With longer life expectancy and the rise in chronic diseases, the medical care which people require at the end of life will change significantly," Mr Gan said at Assisi's charity dinner.
