PUB has stepped up patrols on the banks of Bedok Reservoir following a spate of deaths there

It also urges the public to alert it or the police if they see people behaving suspiciously or in an unsafe manner at any of the reservoirs. -- ST PHOTO: KEVIN LIM By Kimberly Spykerman National water agency PUB has stepped up patrols on the banks of Bedok Reservoir following a spate of deaths in the waters in the last five months. At least three of the six deaths there since June are believed to be suicides, and the PUB is certain that none of the drownings is related to water activities allowed in the reservoir, which has been opened up for water sports. Its spokesman told The Straits Times on Tuesday that, besides stepping up patrols by its officers, the agency has engaged auxiliary security agency Certis Cisco's officers to walk through the area.
