ST Electronics to build new $57m Ang Mo Kio Street facility

ST Engineering’s electronics arm, ST Electronics, today announced that it plans to build a new $57 million integrated manufacturing, technology and office building. The seven-storey building will be built on a 2 ha, 30-year leasehold land parcel located near ST Electronics’ headquarters at Ang Mo Kio Street 65. ST Electronics has appointed Boustead Projects to design and build the facility. The new building will be owned by ST Electronics’ wholly-owned subsidiary, ST Electronics (Info-Software Systems). Expected to be ready in the first half of 2013, the new building will augment ST Electronics’ existing facilities in Ang Mo Kio with 50,000 square metres of space. The new building will also provide a permanent base for employees of its subsidiaries who are currently located in several rented premises in various parts of Singapore.
