No local athlete has tested positive in out-of-competition checks carried out by the year-old Anti-Doping Singapore (ADS) - the body entrusted with ensuring sports in Singapore is free from performance-enhancing drugs. More than 200 tests have been conducted by ADS since last March, with 106 conducted with no advanced notice, out-of-competition tests and another 100 done in-competition at events like the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2010, World Junior Wushu Championships 2010 and Fina Arena Swimming World Cup 2010. The ADS's out of competition screening included tests on 17 sports ahead of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games held here last August (26 tests), pre-Commonwealth (21) and pre-Asian Games (40).
