PUNE: Well-heeled non-resident Indians from Dubai, the UK and Singapore are jostling to invest in startups, drawn by the promise of India's budding entrepreneurs. These investors, many of whom are joining angel networks, are bringing a new flavour with leads to potential clients, employees and business partners in geographies other than the US, the most prominent source of money and mentoring for India's startups so far. "Some of my best investments have been in startups that have gone on to raise money at 10 times the valuation at which I invested. The growth opportunity in India is huge," said UK-based Nitin Singhal, who has invested in over half-adozen startups, including data protection company Druva and technology service provider Sapience.
