S'pore expects inflation of 3-4%, up from 2-3%. What is your money-saving tip?

THE Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) has revised its inflation forecast at 3 to 4 per cent, up from its earlier prediction of 2 to 3 per cent. MTI also added that inflation is further expected to rise to five to six per cent in the first few months of the year. However, it added inflation is expected to moderate, especially in the second half of the year. The Monetary Authority of Singapore's core inflation forecast, which excludes the cost of accommodation and private road transport, remained unchanged at 2-3 per cent. MTI released these figures as part of its growth forecast for 2011 on Thursday morning, where they expected growth to hit 4 to 6 per cent in 2011, in line with the global economy's continued recovery.
