Meritocracy, no way. It is the cheapest getting the job. That is why FT like you are getting our job, as you have claimed that you were paid a lower salary. Even at a lower salary, dollar for dollar you are still having a higher pay when you consider the exchange rate. Furthermore, when you send back the money to be used back at your country, which is having a far lower living standard, thus the dollars will be stretched even further. Why should we be sacrificing our jobs just because your own country can't provide you all a decent job? If it is meritocracy, you won't stand a chance. Those whom you replaced are anytime far more experience and knowledgeable than you. They were replaced, not because of poorer quality, but simply because they are earning higher pay through many years working there. You'll come in at less than half their pay.
