The Online Citizen 'has organised online and offline campaigns to change legislation and Government policies, provided a forum for local politicians, and polls on public support for local politicians and on other political issues concerning Singapore'. -- PHOTO: THE ONLINE CITIZEN THE Prime Minister has declared The Online Citizen a political association under the Political Donations Act. The statement, issued on Thursday by the Registry of Political Donations, said the declaration is 'in line with the objective to safeguard the integrity of the domestic political process' and is to take effect immediately. The Attorney-General's Chambers advised that as a website, The Online Citizen 'provides coverage, commentaries and analysis of political issues mainly or wholly related to Singapore, as well as providing a platform for discussing such issues'.
