MOH to publish average bill sizes of private dental clinics

SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Health (MOH) will publish a list of average bill sizes of private dental services. This will enable the public to know how much they can expect to pay when visiting a private dentist. The MOH currently maintains a list of average charges for some of the more common dental procedures at government-owned clinics and the ministry will now extend this practice to private dental clinics. Health Minister Gan Kim Yong said: "The private sector has been invited to participate in this to allow greater transparency of dental charges across the island, and I am encouraged that many of them who have been approached are receptive of this idea." About three-quarters of dental services in Singapore are provided by the private sector.
