IMH doctor wins prize for schizophrenia study

But doctors are often at a loss when it comes to explaining to patients and their families why such hallucinations happen. This spurred Associate Professor Sim Kang of the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) to study how sufferers' brain activity changes during such episodes. His efforts were rewarded on Friday, when he clinched the top scientific prize at the Singapore Health and Biomedical Congress 2011 at Suntec City.
