Travel agencies and hotels say they have seen a spike in the number of visitors - especially from China, Vietnam, India and Indonesia - since Thailand was hit by floods in mid-October. This bodes well for the tourism industry here. Ms Alicia Seah, CTC Travel's senior vice-president for marketing and public relations, said her agency has seen a rise of about 15 per cent - an estimated 200 more visitors - compared with the fourth quarter of last year.
