Spain's Gonzalo Fernandez-Castona is the new Barclays Singapore Open champion after defeating Filipino Juvic Pagunsan in a sudden death play off on Monday morning. -- ST PHOTO: ALPHONSUS CHERN By Lin Xinyi Spain's Gonzalo Fernandez-Castona is the new Barclays Singapore Open champion after defeating Filipino Juvic Pagunsan in a sudden death play off on Monday morning. The 31-year-old sealed the win with a birdie on the second play-off hole at the 18th at Sentosa Golf Club's Serapong course. Pagunsan could only manage to par. Both players had parred the first play-off hole, also on the par-five 18th. The duo finished 14-under par 199 at the US$6 million event on Sunday, which was reduced to 54 holes due to inclement weather.
