Lost in S'pore forest for 8 hours

TNP PHOTO ILLUSTRATION: Benjamin Seetor A RETIREE got lost for eight hours in Seletar Reservoir after embarking on a hike last month. Mr Ng Lit Sin, a 53-year-old hiking enthusiast, set off for the forested area off Mandai Road at 8.30am on Oct 15, intending to come back after an hour. However, after getting himself lost in the jungle and exhausting his water, Mr Ng tried to get help from his friends and son - who alerted the police. Mr Ng was then rescued eight hours after beginning his trek after NParks officers guided him to the reservoir's waterside and sent a boat to retrieve him. More in The New Paper today (Nov 14).
