PALEMBANG - Singapore's Muhd Ridhwan has lost his bout against Indonesia's Mathius Mandiangan in the semi-finals of the men's lightweight (60kg) category at the 26th SEA Games. Earlier tonight, the Indonesian beat Ridhwan 20-9 at the Indoor Basket Hall Kampus in Palembang. Mathius will now meet Charly Suarez of the Philippines. Suarez had beaten Thailand's Ardee Saylom 11-9 in the other semi-final. Ardee and Ridhwan will both take the bronze medal. The last time Singapore won a gold medal in boxing at the SEA Games was at the 1985 Games in Bangkok, when Mohd Mukhlis bagged the men's welterweight title.
