Creature comforts

IT ISN'T every day that an interior designer gets a brief to design a home around the needs of the owners' pets, instead of the owners themselves. So when this young couple approached designer Alan Choo from Project File to create a home that is just as conducive for their four beloved cats as it is for them, Choo seized the challenge, deciding to concentrate on the basics and pare down unnecessary decorative elements. Apparently cats are all about clean lines. Although the apartment unit is fairly small, it receives ample natural light. To maximise the light and airy feeling of being in the space, Choo painted the walls in pristine white and coated the original flooring with epoxy spray paint.
