PUB to tap maids to save water 6:00 AM WITH one in every five Singapore households today employing a maid, the Public Utilities Board (PUB), for the first time, is turning towards them to help the country reduce its water consumption. Domestic helpers, for whom turning on the tap is something they do many times a day when washing dishes or clothes, will soon have a programme to teach them about saving water.
