S'pore scientists announce collaboration with Nestle

SINGAPORE: An alliance of leading epigenetics researchers from three countries including Singapore has announced a research collaboration with Nestlé Research Center in Switzerland. The collaboration is aimed at using epigenetics, the biology of how gene function is regulated by environmental factors such as maternal nutrition during very early stage of development, to improve nutrition strategies for mother and baby. The alliance known as EpiGen Consortium comprises researchers from the Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and the National University of Singapore.
