Kitchen hygiene study yields surprising results
Ok.. here's the thing... sample size: 25 households... VERY LOW to conclude Singapore is infested with Ecoli. 2nd... Humans are the main source of Ecoli and SAlmonella... eliminate humans and you eliminate those bugs (stupid idea). IF 88% of households do have these bugs... why don't 88% of Singaporeans get sick everyday?? thats because not all ecoli and salmonella are pathogenic. Some of us have staph aureas in our noses and we don't get sick. Keeping things TOO clean sometimes invite the more dangerous bacteria because the "normal" bacterial flora of the house is dead and can be taken over by more dangerous organisms. Just keep your kitchen CLEAN, if you havn't got sick over the past 10 years in your kitchen you have been doing cleaning and preparing food right all along. This article is full of hype. Their recommendations is good though.
