The former Florida State University football player pleaded guilty last week. His lawyer Thong Chee Kun had told the district court that his client admitted to receiving the money between July 2008 and May last year but had no knowledge of the details of the scams. But Senior District Judge See Kee Oon said there was no doubt that Charlton, 38, was connected to the syndicate operating the scams.
