IPOH - POLICE arrested a fourth suspect over the disappearance of 700,000 condoms worth about RM4.5 million (S$1.89 million). Perak police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan said the man, in his 30s, was picked up in Klang on Sunday. 'We recovered several boxes of the missing condoms from the suspect,' he said here on Monday. Earlier this month, it was reported that the shipment of the ultra-thin condoms was loaded onto a container at the Sagami Manufacturers Sdn Bhd factory in Bemban, Batu Gajah. However, the container was empty with the locks on when the shipment arrived in Tokyo. On Wednesday, police picked up three suspects separately here and in Klang. DCP Mohd Shukri had told reporters then that two suspects were workers in the factory and that it could be the work of an international syndicate.
