Former teacher asked two 13-year-old boys to allow him to watch them masturbate

SINGAPORE - The High Court has rejected the appeal of a former primary school teacher against his 10-month jail term for asking two 13-year-old boys to allow him to watch them masturbate. In May 2009, Chock Soon Seng got to know a Secondary 1 student over the Internet. The next day, he got the boy to send him the telephone numbers of two friends. Chock then messaged one of the boy's friends, inviting him to watch obscene films and masturbate together. The boy told his mother and the matter was reported to the police. Police investigations later revealed that Chock had in 2008 asked another secondary schoolboy to allow him to watch the boy masturbate during a video call. His lawyer, Mr Anthony Lim, argued that Chock was a first offender and had shown remorse for his actions. The 34-year-old had also tendered his resignation.
