Woman in Taiwan jailed 18 months, fined $30,000 for committing adultery with brother-in-law

(THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - The Kaohsiung District Court in Taiwan fined a woman and sentenced her to 18 months in jail for committing adultery with her brother-in-law, reported Nanyang Siang Pau. The woman's elder sister Chong found out her husband had been sleeping with her since 2000 but decided to forgive them both providing they stopped seeing each other. However, the couple continued to meet despite their promise to Ms Chong. The husband admitted his infidelity to Ms Chong last October after finding out that his secret lover of more than a decade had been two-timing him. He gave a sex diary to Ms Chong which recorded 547 incidents which took place at various hotels over the years. Ms Chong, upset about the affair, decided to take the matter to court. The Home Affairs Department also ruled in Ms Chong's favour and ordered her sister to pay her NT$700,000 (S$30,072)...
