Tis' the season for festive lattes, but don't overindulge, say nutritionists

For most of the year, Ms Pearly Tan avoids drinking coffee, but come Christmas season, she makes weekly trips to Starbucks for a dose of their Toffee Nut Latte. The latte is part of a trio of Christmas drinks that the coffee chain has to offer this year. 'The moment Starbucks announced the date that they would be released, I committed the date to memory,' said the 30-year-old e-marketing specialist. But nutritionists warn of overindulging in such drinks. Ms Jaclyn Reutens, clinical dietitian at Aptima Nutrition & Sports Consultants, a tall-sized (354ml) full-fat Toffee Nut Latte can contain about 220 calories.
