Airmen and sailors in the SAF could soon be clad in the same kind of pixelated uniform worn by foot soldiers

The new uniforms for Singapore's navy and air force personnel could be similar to the United States Navy's blue-grey pixel-pattern uniforms, introduced in 2009. -- PHOTO: GOOGLE By Jermyn Chow, Defence Correspondent Airmen and sailors in the Singapore Armed Forces could soon be clad in the same kind of pixelated uniform worn by foot soldiers. But instead of green, it could be like the blue or grey 'digital camouflage' sported by their American and Australian counterparts. This contrasts with the solid navy blue coveralls that men and women of the navy and air force have been wearing for more than two decades. The change could come into effect as early as the first half of next year, if plans to replace the coveralls are approved.
