STOMPer Li Foong would like to caution parents to be mindful of their children around supermarket cashier counters, after her young daughter's fingers got caught in a conveyor belt at Giant Supermarket. The STOMPer related the incident: "I was out shopping with my husband and two-year-old child at Giant Supermarket in Tampines, and were waiting in line to pay for our purchases. "My child was standing in the trolley when it was our turn to pay. My husband loaded the goods onto the cashier's conveying belt and my child tried to follow my husband’s actions. "One of the fingers on my child’s left hand slipped into the side of the conveyor belt. My husband saw this and pulled her hand out immediately. It was bleeding badly and I could see the exposed flesh of my child's fingers. "The cut on the fourth finger was quite deep and it is like 3.5cm long. The last finger also had a d...
