Housewife Su-Anne Tan, 30, is hoping to be Singapore's first female driver at the Sepang 1,000km race in December. She took another step towards securing a spot when her excellent display at Kartright Speedway yesterday helped her to move to the next round of selection. -- PHOTO: DESMOND LIM SHE was a lecturer until she became a full-time mum two years ago. But that did not stop Su-Anne Tan from dishing out a lesson in overtaking at the Kartright Speedway on Tuesday. She posted the fastest lap time of 51.82 seconds - more than three seconds ahead of her nearest rival - on the 750m track at Upper Jurong Road. The 30-year-old housewife was among 24 contestants who took part in a go-kart session as part of the Red Bull Female Driver Search. Ten were chosen for the next round of selection at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, but only one will get to become Singapor...
