Flu cases in S'pore dip

SINGAPORE: The number of flu cases in Singapore dipped to 18,061 last week, about a 15 per cent drop from the previous record high of 21,204 cases reported between February 6 and 12. However, the figure is still above the epidemic threshold. The most common strain remains Influenza A H1N1. The Health Ministry said most people with flu recover with rest and treatment. But it has advised flu vaccinations for those in the vulnerable groups, such as very young children, the elderly and patients with chronic diseases.
