Liverpool had much to cheer about when they beat Chelsea for the second time in nine days in their 2-0 Carling Cup quarter-final victory on Tuesday. While the players celebrated out on the pitch at the final whistle, Kenny Dalglish was not exactly up for it at Stamford Bridge. Earlier, Lucas Leiva (picture) had left the pitch on a stretcher possibly suffering from a serious knee injury. When Dalglish found out yesterday the Brazilian had suffered damage to his anterior cruciate ligament, it must have been the worst kind of news for the Scot. So good has the 24-year-old been this season, he has become one of the first names on the Liverpool manager's team sheet. Almost certainly out for the rest of the season, Dalglish will have a big task trying to ensure there is no soft spot in Liverpool's midfield in Lucas' absence.
