The ill-fated snatch theft that led to one culprit losing his private parts was the duo's first job, police said

KUALA LUMPUR - THE two snatch thieves who were involved in an accident that left one dead with his penis almost severed and another seriously injured, are believed to be first-timers in the 'activity,' the police revealed. Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Amiruddin Jamaluddin said the injured suspect who was recuperating from a broken hand and leg at the Ampang Hospital admitted that it was their first attempt to steal. He added that a magistrate had visited the suspect, an Indonesian, at the hospital at 11.30am yesterday to issue him a seven-day remand order to facilitate investigations. ACP Amiruddin added that the case was being investigated under Section 395 of the Penal Code for armed robbery and the suspect faced a maximum 20 years in jail and whipping if found guilty.
