Lim Kok Tiong, 58, who was initially charged with the murder of another in Geylang while being part of an illegal assembly was given a discharge not amounting to an acquittal on Monday. -- ST PHOTO: WONG KWAI CHOW By Elena Chong A man who was initially charged with the murder of another in Geylang while being part of an illegal assembly was given a discharge not amounting to an acquittal on Monday. Lim Kok Tiong, 58, was charged earlier in August with the murder of Mr Yong Sian Moo, 51, at a backlane in Geylang on Aug 5 while being with five others in an unlawful assembly. No reason was given by the prosecution. The order means that Lim could still face the capital charge at a later date if the prosecution decides to revive it.
