Football is a game that can allow communities to come forward in solidarity by supporting their teams. As such, the S-League should be confined to local teams. The Group Representation Constituencies should put up their own teams. This would allow Members of Parliament (MPs) to get involved, meet people at the ground level and help to generate funds for their teams. A full stadium would always attract sponsors, so the Football Association of Singapore must organise the league in such a way that there is love and rivalry, which brings people together. There is no shame in revamping the S-League for the better. The Singapore Armed Forces and Home teams should not participate, as they do not belong to any GRC, and their involvement all these years has been unfair to the league.
