The median travelling time to work for those living in the Downtown Core, Newton, Changi and Tanglin areas was about 25 minutes. In contrast, median travel times were longer at 40 minutes, for those living in areas such as Choa Chu Kang, Woodlands and Punggol. In 2010, the median travelling time to school was 45 minutes for polytechnic students and 50 minutes for university students.
