[TOC] BREAKING NEWS: Electoral Boundaries Report released

The Electoral Boundaries Review Committee (EBRC), under the purview of the Prime Minister’s Office, released its much-awaited report on Thursday. The Government has accepted the committee’s report. The report outlines the electoral boundaries for the upcoming General Elections in Singapore. In it, the EBRC has carved Singapore into 27 electoral boundaries, introduced two 4-member GRCs, erased five Single-member Constituencies and two Group Representation Constituencies; and reduced the five 6-member GRCs to just two. In their places, the EBRC has created 8 new SMCs and 3 new GRCs. In total, there will be 87 parliamentary seats up for grabs in the elections.
