SDP counting on social media for General Election

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) will be looking to leverage on the Internet in their campaign for the General Election. When contacted, SDP secretary-general Chee Soon Juan said in an emailed reply: "We will maximise the use of the social media to help us spread our message. We will be stepping up our ground campaign in the coming weeks." Dr Chee said he did not see a logical explanation in how the boundaries had been drawn. They "seem to have been carved up in a haphazard way to benefit the PAP", said Dr Chee. As an undischarged bankrupt, the SDP chief is ineligible to contest in the election. SDP is known to be active in Sembawang and Jurong GRCs, as well as the Bukit Panjang single seat ward.
