The fair is one of two held annually - the other in August - by the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (Natas). The crowd reflects Singaporeans' appetite for overseas holidays on the back of a buoyant economy and strong Singapore dollar. Not even rising air fares and fuel surcharges due to climbing oil prices, could dampen the buying mood of travellers. Mr Robert Khoo, chief executive officer of Natas, said he expects 68,000 visitors to the fair and travel deals sales totalling $70 million.
