Sailing gets SEA Games boost

Hosts Indonesia have agreed to include Olympic-class dinghy events, which spells good news for the Republic, a regional powerhouse in the sport. But officials from the SEA Games Federation have stood firm on excluding key events in shooting and table tennis - a traditional gold mine for Singapore. A total of 545 events across 43 sports were approved at the meeting in Bali on Friday, when officials from all 11 nations haggled over Indonesia's decision to scale back certain sports and to exclude some completely.
