Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has issued a statement on the ongoing unrest and violence in Libya

It read: 'We have been closely monitoring the situation in Libya. From the onset, the safety and well-being of Singaporeans have been our paramount concern. Our Embassy in Cairo (Egypt) has kept in constant contact with the Singaporeans in Tripoli (in Libya) as well as worked to secure their safe departure. All 10 Singaporeans who were in Libya, have left Tripoli.
