Filipino ground equipment officer charged with 5 counts of stealing duty-free items on board SIA aircraft.

A Filipino ground equipment officer has been charged with five counts of stealing duty-free items on board Singapore Airlines aircraft. Glenn Mejia Santos, 35, is alleged to have stolen pens, watches, perfume and other items totalling $8,453 from Singapore Airlines with Rene Boy Catipon Frani, 30, between Oct 17 and Nov 29. Frani has since been charged with three offences. Both Frani and Santos will appear in court again on Dec 22. The maximum penalty for theft is three years and a fine on each charge.
