Members of the Vermont chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon would not discuss the allegations. University officials say the survey question was 'incredibly offensive and inappropriate'. They are investigating where the survey came from, who saw it and how it was used. The national Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity says it has instructed the chapter to cease all operations, pending further investigation. It says that any behaviour that demeans women is not tolerated.
