HE WAS supposed to go on a golfing holiday to Pebble Beach in the United States in July. Now, Lam Chih Bing will have to postpone his trip. Not that he has any complaints about that. The Republic's second-ranked golfer was one of four players who won coveted tickets to the 2011 British Open on Friday. The 34-year-old fired a bogey-free five-under 67 on the second day of the International Final Qualifying Asia in Chonburi, Thailand, on Friday to add to his opening 68, reported asiantour.com. Lam (135) finished third behind winner Prom Meesawat of Thailand, who fired a superb seven-under-par 65 at the Amata Spring Country Club for a two-day aggregate of 12-under-par 132. Japanese veteran Tetsuji Hiratsuka (134) took second place and American Jason Knutzon (136) was the last man to qualify for the Open at Royal St George's from July 14 to 17.
