Teen gets probation for forging SIA staff card and cheating

He had dreams of flying planes so Muhammad Shazni Kamarudin, 19, forged a Singapore Airlines staff pass that identified him as a pilot. He later used the card to get free medical treatment at the Raffles Medical Group clinics at Changi Airport on five occasions. On Friday, a district court placed him on probation for 18 months. The aerospace technology student at the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) had pleaded guilty last month to forgery and cheating. Court documents state that he knew a SilkAir stewardess. From her, he found out what a Singapore Airlines staff card looked like and created a fake card with his name on it using Photoshop software on his computer. He then paid $5 at a printing shop on North Bridge Road for the card to be printed out from his thumbdrive.
