F&N creameries to get the scoop on ice-cream market - TODAYonline #business

Fraser and Neave (F&N) said it has set up a separate division to consolidate and scale up its ice-cream business across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. The new division, called F&N Creameries, will play a key part in the group's plans to become a leading ice-cream player in the ASEAN region. "F&N Creameries was set up in recognition of the unique requirements of the ice-cream business in relation to our existing dairy and soft drinks businesses," said Mr Koh Poh Tiong, chief executive officer of F&N's food and beverage business, in a statement. F&N Creameries will be led by Mr Lye Jit Hui, who previously headed F&N's food and beverage business unit in Singapore. The division will manage the Magnolia and Meadow Gold brands as well as the newly acquired King's brand.
