This teacher explains why she supports parents who pull their children out of extra classes after school.

AS A teacher, I would like to lend my voice to those parents who have made the choice of pulling their children out of supplementary classes held after school. There will always be children who may not fully benefit from this mass classroom learning, especially after a full day at school. For them a one-on-one setting would be a more conducive learning environment. Understandably, there is the issue of extra money involved in providing the children with this one-on-one tuition, but it is worth it when this setting brings results rather than the child going through endless worksheets without a focus on his weakness. Supplementary classes would be beneficial if they are conducted in small groups of six to eight children on a rotation basis, where the specific weaknesses are focused on, and the child's learning problem is addressed.
