CDAC's Project Excellence sees PSLE students improve

An initiative by the Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC) has seen grades for its students improve. The non-profit organisation helps the lower income group and academically weak students. Now in its third year, Project Excellence saw 44 per cent of students score at least three 3 A*s/As in this year's PSLE. Thirty-seven students were presented with the Holistic Progress Award yesterday by Health Minister and chairman of the CDAC Student Education and Development Committee, Mr Gan Kim Yong. The students were not only assessed on academic progress, but also their character development and attitude. The award was presented to the student's family to encourage parents to be involved in their child's education.
