Our reader's message to SMRT: Turn up the AC.

SMRT should be a little more generous about the air-conditioning in its trains. The air-conditioner seems to be in operation only during the first few minutes after the trains leave the stations. I was trying to bear with the stuffy air while on a train going towards Pasir Ris around 8.15am on Feb 21 when a young man who was standing next to me squeezed his way through as the train was coming to a halt. Once it stopped, instead of leaving, he slowly leaned onto a young, petite woman in front of him. Alarm bells rang in my head as the woman tried to push him away. I joined the woman to push him away and immediately felt something was amiss. The guy had his full body weight on our hands, and soon after, collapsed on the floor. Armed with my limited knowledge of first aid, I kneeled down to attend to him. I found him soaked in sweat and it looked like he had passed out becaus...
