Singapore Exported S$136B In Services In 2009: Total services imported shrank 6.7% to S$115.4B.

Singapore’s international trade in services – services imports and exports – fell in 2009, paralleling the economy’s contraction. Services exported from Singapore slipped 3.2% to S$136 billion, reversing the 9.6% growth posted in 2008. It was the same situation for total services imported, which declined 6.7% to S$115.4 billion – in contrast to the 10% increase in 2008. Based on the Singapore’s International Trade in Services 2009 report by the Department of Statistics (DOS) , transportation, trade-related, travel and business management services accounted for: 75% of Singapore’s total services exports 65.4% of total services imports Exports of transportation and travel services experienced the biggest tumble in 2009, followed by architectural and communication services.
