Education Minister Ng Eng Hen urged Anglo-Chinese Schools to be more inclusive.

Dr Eng, an old ACS boy, was the guest-of-honour at the school's 125th Founder's Day celebration. -- ST PHOTO: ASHLEIGH SIM EDUCATION Minister Ng Eng Hen urged Anglo-Chinese Schools (ACS) to do more to ensure students from lower income families are not denied opportunities to receive quality education. Dr Ng, an old ACS, boy was the guest-of-honour at the school's 125th Founder's Day celebration. Speaking at the event, he said many Singaporeans see ACS as a school for the privileged, even the elite, but ACS should continue to do its part to ensure social mobility so that no one is left behind. Some 9,000 students, teachers and alumni from six ACS schools attended the event at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
