SINGAPORE - Even with a string of successful overseas ventures to his name, Mr Donald Foo's (picture) entrepreneurial streak continues to drive him to explore new business opportunities. His latest endeavour is Bio-X, a technology start-up in analytical chemistry instrumentation. Bio-X's unique Accumulation Method Ion Sensor (AMIS) platform can be used to measure chemical and biochemical reactions in aqueous solutions in very small volumes. According to Mr Foo, Singapore is ideal for new business ventures due to the strong product development capabilities here. He highlights as an example how knowledge institutions such as polytechnics are very forthcoming with collaborative efforts.
