seo updates Home-grown companies embracing productivity

For home-grown company Seo Eng Joo Frozen Food, productivity in the past meant accurate orders and having its workers going home in time for dinner. But as the prices of raw materials surge, it realised it had to formalise its approach to productivity to stay competitive. Said its managing director Billy Seo: "We knew that we were efficient but we didn't know in exact measures." Under the Productivity Management Programme supported by SPRING, the company used the IMPACT (Integrated Management of Productivity Activities) assessment tool to diagnose its productivity, to identify strengths and weaknesses. A productivity manager was hired to look into improving productivity. The company also started to monitor and review key productivity indicators to ensure that its efforts stayed on track.
