Gay rights activists ask 6 political parties to state their stand .none of the six political parties responded

SINGAPORE - A group of gay rights activists have sent a joint letter to six political parties here, asking them to clarify their respective positions on several issues of interest to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) community. The letter, sent in mid-September, was signed by seven activists including academic Russell Heng and prominent blogger Alex Au. According to the signatories, "our intention is to release the various parties' responses to the LGBT community at an appropriate time, with minimal commentary on our part". In an online posting recently, the seven activists noted that none of the six political parties responded to their complete list of questions.
